What happens after we die

What happens after we die

This is one of life's toughest questions that no one can disregard. We all know that we going to die some day although the time and date has not been made known to us, death still remains a mystery to all of us. What should be asked is not when will I die but rather where do I go when I die. A lot of people do precisely the same things everyday, some live in same neighborhoods, buy from the same shops, drink the same water and even drive the same cars, some dies the same types of death and are buried in the same cemetery, but to these same people there remains a distinction in their destinies, they might have died through same car accidents but where they are going after death might possibly differ.

The bible speaks of a life after death of which some people object as being not true, many believe that the soul of a human being is limited to his time on earth and after death the soul ceases to exist. They also encourage people to live life to the fullest while they still can as their time is only limited. They deny the existence of heaven and that of hell, this however is that Broadway the bible speaks of that leads people to hell. One can not ignore this truth though he/she wishes to. You are going to die one day and it might be today or tomorrow or even after 50 years, the fact is that you will die whether you like it or not.

Heaven or Hell?

There are only two eternal destinies the bible speaks about where people go after they die; “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”(Dan 12:2 ). Death is not the end of life but just the start of it, our life on earth is usually paralleled to a drop of water and our life after death is paralleled to an ocean, we spend so little a time here on earth and the rest will be spent in eternity. My question to you is that where will you spend your eternity? In everlasting life or in everlasting contempt?

The answer is simple, if you are not saved by the blood of Christ or in simple terms if you are not a born again Christian you will go to hell after you die instantly. The bible is clear about this fact, no sinner will inherit everlasting life. If and if You are a true Christian you will go to heaven.

The story of Lazarus and the rich man indicates to us what really happens after we die; Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

As you can see there is no purgatory, no ceasing of the soul's existence, both died and went to where they deserved to go. Who do you identify yourself with, Lazarus or the rich man? You might not fully understand it by now but once you die everything will be made clear to you, you might be making fun of hell now but it won”™t be fun then. Maybe you asking yourself how do I know all these things; it”™s what the bible says and The Lord Jesus Christ spoke much about hell and warned people about the wrath of God that is coming upon the disobedient and unrepentant hearts of man, God is going to punish the sinner in everlasting torment in the lake of fire together with Satan and the fallen angels while believers will go into everlasting life to be with the Lord forever (Rev 21:4). Let me give you a brief description from the bible of what is going to happen on the last day:

– Mat 8:12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
– Mat 13:41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers,
– Mat 13:42 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
– Mat 13:43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
– Rev 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Get Saved Because Then you won't!
